La Cité Internationale: Dialogue through Diversity WICE Current Events Forum Wednesday, April 16 @ 7 PM FREE!
La Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris - founded over 80 years ago with the goal of promoting peace and cultural exchange - continues to realize its mission by welcoming thousands of young people from 140 nations to its 40 residencies each year. In today's often divided global climate, how does the C.U. build understanding amongst diverse populations? Come hear how la Cité's different international houses are putting into practice the ideal of global cooperation through intercultural exchange and dialogue.
Speaker: Karl Ejby Poulsen has been the director of La Fondation Danoise, one of the first international houses built at Cite Internationale, since 1985. He has taught French Literature at the University of Odense, and Scandinavian Civilization and Danish Literature at the University of Sorbonne Paris IV. Poulson has also translated modern Danish and Swedish Poetry into French.
Please join us for a stimulating evening in a relaxed atmosphere. A question and answer period will follow the talk.
