Anne Malraux is originally an actress. She has often acted in plays as well as in several TV films. But she has been singing for ages. After having learned her classics with Frédérique Wickham, Anne came across the Michel Barbe Trio during a concert of Benjamin Legrand’s (another of her teachers with whom she tackled several musical styles with a special attraction for bossa nova) at the Petit Journal Montparnasse. Tonight, she is accompanied by these three subtle musicians who lend all their warmth to this concert in which she reinterprets with boldness but freshness an eclectic repertoire, ranging from Antonio Carlos Jobim to U2 to several Gershwin standards as well as some personal compositions.
